This stylish hotel has some of the best views in the Algarve. It’s also got access to a beautiful sandy beach.

The hotel’s clifftop location gives you some amazing sea views. And there are steps leading to an 8-kilometre sandy beach. Meanwhile, it’s a 5-minute walk to Olhos d’Agua’s shops and restaurants.

This place has two pools – a peaceful lake-style number, and an indoor pool by the spa. For meals, there’s a buffet restaurant and an upscale Italian, as well as a pool bar serving lunches.

This place has all the holiday essentials covered. At the centre of it all is the pool, it’s set in a large sun terrace and you’ll find another one inside. For sporty-types there are two tennis courts and a gym. Plus there's a spa with a menu of treatments. At meal times you’ve a choice of a buffet or an à la carte restaurant, and every night there’s live music and dancing.

Sport & Leisure:

There are sessions organised like yoga*, tai chi* and pilates*. Or you can work up a sweat on the tennis courts*. There’s also table tennis and a games room*, and you can help yourself to board games.

There are two restaurants. One’s a smart buffet number, which has a different theme every night, along with show cooking. The decked, clifftop terrace is an ideal place to have breakfast.

The gourmet place* serves modern Italian cuisine, like sea bass fillets with sweet potato and passion fruit sauce. You can eat out on the terrace, too, where there’s live Brazilian music in the summer.

  • Madeira buffet restaurant*Opening Times: [07.30-10.30, 19.00-21.30] The Madeira offers buffet breakfast and daily themed buffet dinner with show cooking. You can also choose to eat in or outside on the terrace overlooking the pool. It gets pretty busy here, so reservations are recommended and men need to wear trousers for dinner. Just so you know, there may be a charge depending on your board basis too.
  • Pool snack bar*Just the place to get fruit juices, snacks and light à la carte meals by the pool. Open everyday from 10.30am-5pm in winter and 10.30am-7pm in summer.
  • Lounge bar*There's a dance floor and live music every day. Open in summer.

Entertainment:

Evenings here are generally quiet, but every night in the lounge bar* there’s live music and sometimes other acts, like Irish dancers. There’s a little dancefloor, too.

Pool

There are two pools. One’s a huge, lake-style number with a tranquil atmosphere and coastal views. You can take one of the double daybeds overlooking the bay, or visit the indoor pool by the spa.

Just by the main pool is a separate children’s pool. There’s also a poolside bar* serving snacks, à la carte lunches and afternoon tea. It has a children’s menu, too.
